Its hard to believe but in all my years in the F&F Industry I have never had the opportunity to go to India and next week I am correcting this anomaly by making my first foray there. Now its not like an exhaustive exploration this first time but 5 days spread between Mumbai and Cochin will hopefully set me up for future trips and allow me to better understand the enormity of the Indian continent and market. I have quite a lot of contacts in India and hopefully I will get to see at least a few of them while I am there.
I plan to also write some posts on LinkedIn and on my Blog about my impressions and thoughts and will obviously connect this trip around the F&F industry. The FAFAI (Flavour & Fragrance Association of India) says they have over 900 members, which is quite staggering.
While the big global players are all in India in one form or another, smaller companies abound and Focus International is there to assist in solving problems or providing resources that they do not have themselves.

By the way I will be in Mumbai from Feb 25 to 27 and then Cochin from Feb 27 to 29. I have had all the shots I need and am quite excited about the trip and am already thinking forward to when I will come again.
